Valossa Assistant
Valossa Assistant is a conversational AI service for video analysis — a no-code alternative to the Valossa API. It allows you to analyze videos, ask questions about their content, search transcripts, extract clips, download captions, and generate reports using natural language prompts.
Valossa Assistant is designed for media professionals, content teams, and compliance officers who need video insights without writing API calls. If you're a developer looking for programmatic access, see the API Reference instead.
What You Can Do
Valossa Assistant provides a conversational interface to the same Valossa AI video analysis engine that powers the API:
- Ask questions about video — Query video content in natural language: "Who appears in this video?", "What topics are discussed?", "Are there any brand safety concerns?"
- Search video transcripts — Find specific moments by searching spoken words, keywords, and topics across your analyzed videos
- Extract and download clips — Identify and export video segments based on content criteria — people, objects, scenes, speech, or any combination
- Download captions and transcripts — Export speech-to-text results as SRT subtitles, WebVTT, or plain text transcripts
- Download visual scene descriptions — Export AI-generated natural language descriptions of what happens visually in the video
- Generate reports and documents — Create structured text reports, tables, summaries, and content compliance documents from video analysis data
- Content compliance scanning — Review videos against content safety guidelines including GARM brand safety categories
How It Relates to the API
Valossa Assistant and the Valossa API are two interfaces to the same underlying AI engine. The same 38 detection types, the same face recognition, the same speech-to-text, and the same content classification power both.

What Powers the Assistant
Valossa Assistant leverages the full multimodal video AI analysis suite as its foundation — the same audiovisual analysis engine that powers the API, covering speech, visual content, faces, audio events, topics, emotions, and content safety. On top of this baseline, the Assistant adds advanced capabilities including LLMs, multimodal video search, and clip editing tools.
This combination enables a conversational video experience that goes beyond raw metadata extraction. You can generate text documents, structured tables, summaries, SRT captions, and other metadata resources directly from video content — all driven by natural language prompts. Instead of parsing JSON detection arrays, you describe what you need and the Assistant produces it.
